International Driving License Now Available in Just 5 Minutes

Lahore: Great news for Pakistanis travelling abroad — they can now obtain an International Driving License in just five minutes at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The Punjab Traffic Police has launched Pakistan’s first facilitation kiosk at the airport, making the process of acquiring an international license faster and more convenient. The initiative was officially inaugurated by Lahore’s Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Dr. Muhammad Athar Waheed.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Waheed said the kiosk is specifically designed to assist overseas Pakistanis and international travellers who often face time constraints before departure. He emphasised that this new service will reduce processing time significantly and make the required documentation more accessible.

“This is a major step forward in easing the travel experience for Pakistanis going abroad,” said Dr. Waheed. “We expect this facility to benefit thousands of passengers and streamline the licensing process.”

He also announced plans to install similar kiosks at other international airports across the country shortly.

The International Driving License issued through this service allows Pakistani drivers to legally drive in 132 countries around the world.
